Our horses come from a variety of backgrounds. Many raised from yearlings on the ranch before we formed the Sanctuary. Some were brought here for rehabilitation and training and others were rescued. Not every horse rescue is a story of starvation but each is equally sad and heartfelt. Visit our BLOG for horse stories.

Many horses are troubled, suffering from emotional trauma and behavioral issues. Others are deemed “used up” and neglected, lacking love and care. Many of these horses end up at auctions. The Canadian Horse Coalition states that horses face great risks when they are sold through rural auctions. Most are purchased by kill buyers who ship them to slaughter. Fortunately for a few, we are able to re-home them here at the Sanctuary. Your generations donations help us help the horses. DONATE NOW! No donation too small.
